What figurative language is present in these lines? (simile, metaphor, onomatopoeia, hyperbole, and/or personification)

"Love is and was my king and lord"

Also, I know this is a metaphor, but I think it could also be hyperbole. Is that correct?

Answer:

No

Step-by-step explanation:

It could not be a hyperbole because there is no exaggeration. It could be a simile though because the line is using "is" to compare love to a king and lord. I don't understand how it could be a metaphor. Also, the question doesn't seem like it allows two answers.
