Advantages of Hydropower-
1. It is renewable- Water is a good source of renewable energy due to it having a natural source which can be replaced by nature
2. It is safe and less hazardous- Water doesn’t emit pollutants and this makes the environment and atmosphere clean.
Disadvantages
1. It is expensive to set up- The turbines and other equipment are expensive.
2. It could cause Droughts : The large amount of water needed to power the turbines makes water scarce.
