Answer:

Xylum is a type of vascular bundles which is responsible for the transportation of water from the roots to the upper portion of plants such as stem, flower, branches and leaves etc.

Phloem is a type of vascular bundle which is responsible for the transportation of food molecules such as glucose that are produced inside the leaves of a plant during photosynthesis. Glucose is transported to the storage organs of plants such as seed, roots and stem etc.
