Florida Juice and Citrus Company wants to change the size of their frozen concentrate orange juice containers.

Presently, the containers are a circular cylinder with a radius of 2 inches and a height of 4 inches. If the company
changes its containers so that the radius is 1.8 inches and the height is 4.25 inches, will the new container have
more, less, or the same amount of frozen concentrate. Explain your answer.

Answer:

The new container will have a lesser amount of the frozen concentrate because 43.26 > 50.27

Explanation:

Using the formula to find the volume of a cylinder (V=r2h), I will figure out that the current cylinder container holds 50.27 inches3 of Orange Juice.

Again, using the formula to find the volume of a cylinder (V=r2h), I will figure out that the company would change it's containers to a cylinder which on holds 43.26 inches3 of Orange Juice.
