MLK was such an important man in IS history with his civil rights work. By celebrating him and his life we remember what life for African Americans was like and how they worked so hard to free themselves from whites. His help in the civil rights movement reaffirmed that the American Dream can be done by anyone and your race shouldn’t matter.
