What are the differences in properties of solid, liquid and gas?

A solid has definite volume and shape, a liquid has a definite volume but no definite shape, and a gas has neither a definite volume nor shape.

Answer:

solids the atoms are tightly packed in fixed positions,liquids the atoms slide past each other forming to the container ,and gasses the atoms move freely through space basically with the atoms filling up the container
