The lengths of the two sides of a triangle (not necessarily a right triangle) are 1.00 meters and 3.46 meters. The sine of the angle opposite the side of length 1.00 meters is 0.0355. What is the sine of the angle opposite the side of length 3.46 meters?

Answer:

0.1228

Explanation:

We use sine rule

(a)/(\sin A) = (b)/(\sin B) = (c)/(\sin C)

where, in any triangle ABC, a is the side opposite ∠A, b is the side opposite ∠B and c is the side opposite ∠C.

Applying this to the question,

(1.00)/(0.0355) = (3.46)/(\sin B)

\sin B = 3.46*0.0355 = 0.12283 \approx 0.1228
