Start by moving all like terms to one side:

4x + 15 = 9x

4x - 9x = -15

Simplify:

-5x = -15

x = 3

4x + 15 = 9x. Subtract 4x from both sides.

15 = 5x. Divide each side by 5.

3 = x.
