Answer:

Tecumseh ("Shooting Star") was a great Native American tribal leader that played an important role in history.

He belonged to the Shawnee people. He built an Indian alliance to try to stop the settlement of white colonists in the Northwestern Territories, which are today the region of the Great Lakes. His tribal confederacy fought against the United States in the 1812 British-American War. He dreamed about creating a separate Indian state.

When American troops led by William Harrison entered Canada, Tecumseh and his men retrated together with the British. He was killed in the Battle of Thames.
