Answer:

Non-Traditional Wildfire Mitigation

Step-by-step explanation:

The Bastrop County, Texas took giant steps to mitigate the wildfire.

In September 4, 2011, Bastrop County, Texas experienced a firestorm. The firestorm claimed lives and properties - about 1,688 homes and 34,000 acres of land were destroyed.

This incident was a devastating wildfire in the history of Texas.

It was discovered that reducing the vegetative debris will reduce wildfire outbreak. These debris fuel wildfires. Dead and dried vegetation increases the ability for ignition of fire.

Therefore, in order to reduce the amount of vegetative debris, the County came up with the Non-Traditional Mitigation project.

The mitigation is the use of skid steers to carry out mechanical thinning process. The skid steers are low-impact machines incorporated with a mulching head on the front with teeth.

Answer:

Hazardous fuels mitigation process

Step-by-step explanation:

Mitigation is a tactical risk or hazard response whereby a project team put in place some very strategic steps to lessen the probability, impact or effect of a negative risk to a project. It involves a lessening in the possibility and/or impact of an unfavorable risk to be within suitable threshold limits.
