a rectangular container measuring 20 cm by 15 cm by 12 cm is 2/3 filled with water . Find the volume of the water in liters.

Answer:

2.4 litres

Explanation:

volume of a rectangular container = length x breadth x height/depth

volume of the rectangular container = 20cm x 12cm x 15cm

= 3600 cm³

volume filled with water = 2/3 x 3600 =2,400cm³

1000cm³ = 1 litre

therefore 2,400cm³ = 2400/1000 = 2.4 litres
