Tree is 64.90 ft tall !

Explanation:

We have , Alex wants to measure the height of a tree. Alex walks exactly 100 feet from the base of the tree and looks up. The angle from the ground to the top of the tree is 33. We need to find How tall is the tree . Let's find out:

According to questions we have following dimensions for a right angle triangle:

Perpendicular = ?\\Base = 100 ft\\x = 33 , where x is angle from the ground to the top of the tree

In right angle triangle ,

Tanx = (Perpendicular)/(Base)

Tan33 = (Perpendicular)/(100)

Perpendicular= 100(Tan33)

Perpendicular= 100(0.649)

Perpendicular= 64.90ft

Therefore , Tree is 64.90 ft tall !
