I have no idea what to do here I'm really confused? I think my teacher said it was steps 2 and 3 but i dont see the issue

I don't know what's wrong with step 2 but in step 3 the student added the exponent instead of multiplying.

That automatically makes every other step done afterwards wrong but it's not 3-4 because the math is right it's just that step 3 messed up step 4 laws of exponent wise.
