Sandy has a budget for school stationery of $42, but has already spent $12.13 on books and folders.

Let "p" represent the amount that Sandy can spend on other stationery. Write an inequality that shows how much she can spend on other stationery, and solve for "p".

I'll try my best on this:

Sandy has $42 to spend on school stationary. Since she already spent 12.13 dollars, she has 42 - 12.13 = 29.87.

So that means "p" must be less than or equal to 29.87:

"p" ≤ 29.87
