An audio speaker that weighs 30lbs hangs from the ceiling of a restaurant by two cables as shown in the figure. What is the tention required in each cable for the speaker to stay in static equilibrium?

The tension required in each cable for the speaker to stay in static equilibrium would be 15 lbs. But, because tension is usually a force, it may also be in newtons. The conversion from 15 lbs into newtons would be approximately 66.72 N.
