Americans had been fighting Japan since 1941. Why were they so moved to help the Japanese after the war ended?

Answer: Japan needed the most help in 1941 because they were running low on war supplies. Ever since President Roosevelt cut assets off from Japan, Japanese soldiers needed medical supplies for war and injured troops. While still remaining neutral, Roosevelt decided to still supply Japan with medical supplies because they were truly needed.
