Which of the following could be said ONLY by an omniscient narrator?

Matt puzzled over the meaning of Jerome's remark. Jerome saw his confused expression and thought, "Could he really not know--?"

Unlike a limited narrator, an omniscient narrator knows everything and may share the perspectives of multiple characters.

THIRD-PERSON OMNISCIENT NARRATION: This is a common form of third-person narration in which the teller of the tale, who often appears to speak with the voice of the author himself, assumes an omniscient (all-knowing) perspective on the story being told: diving into private thoughts, narrating secret or hidden event.

Hope it helps :)
