Tim wraps presents at a local gift shop. If its takes 2.5 meters of wrapping paper per present, how many can Tim wrap is he has 50 meters of wrapping paper?

Let the number be A.

So,

50 meters = A

Therefore ,

2.5 meters = 1 present

50 meters = A

Cross multiply

A x 2.5 = 50 x 1

Divide both sides by 2.5

A x 2.5/2.5 = 50/2.5

A = 20

Tim would wrap 20 presents if he had 50 meters of wrapping paper
