Marthina estimation should have been really reasonable.

Solution:

Given that,

Rectangular prism has:

length = 13.2 feet

width = 6 feet

height = 8 feet

Find the lateral surface area of prism:

\text{Lateral surface area } = 2(length + width) * height\\\\\text{Lateral surface area } = 2(13.2 + 6) * 8\\\\\text{Lateral surface area } = 2(19.2) * 8\\\\\text{Lateral surface area } = 38.4 * 8\\\\\text{Lateral surface area } = 307.2\ ft^2

Thus the lateral surface area of prism is 307.2 square feet

Martina's estimation that lateral surface area is about 304 square feet is quite near to the calculated value which means that her estimation should have been really reasonable.
