How would a futuristic setting likely influence a story?

No theme would be possible because the future has not yet occurred.

Only direct characterization would be possible.

The characters might fly in spaceships or have advanced technology.

Answer:

Direct Characterization is used in any number of Futuristic stories; dystopian stories often have a breakdown of the civilization that came before; everything must be described and defined to “create a reality”. We can’t assume we will all be flying around in spacecraft; we may find a world where the main characters are searching for food and shelter instead.

The answer is C, the characters may use futuristic technology in a futuristic setting.

A- Almost all stories have themes no matter the setting

B and D- An author can describe their characters any way they want, I doesn’t matter where the story takes place.

I hope this helps!
