(1 * 5) * 1 = 5

Solution:

Given expression is:

(1 * 5) * 1 = 5

We have to use the associative property of multiplication

Associative property of multiplication

When we are multiplying two or three numbers, it does not matter where we put the parenthesis, it results in same answer

a * (b * c) = (a * b) * c

Therefore,

$(1 * 5) * 1 = 1 * (5 * 1) = 1 * 5 = 5\\\\(1 * 5) * 1 =5$

Thus associative property of multiplication is used to find solution
