Answer: Women ran salons that encouraged discussion.

Explanation: Women took part in the discourse of religion, politics, social equality, sexuality, its however became a prominent topic in the salon. Women started challenging their idea and question their societal roles. Often times women are regarded as caretakers of the homes while the men roles are entirely different. Women however develop a new intellect, they were able to participate actively in the development of society as a result of enlightenment thinking.
