Answer: This is an example of the MISINFORMATION EFFECT.

Explanation:The misinformation effect as explained by Loftus is "the impairment in memory for the past that arises after exposure to misleading information".

It occurs when an individual due to post event information is not able to accurately recall previous memory.

Of course the robbery was at a store, but the store was a different store. Porter may have forgotten previous events due to the misinformation effect.
