x = 3

Explanation:

NO is a midline segment and is half the length of JK

Since NO = 20 then JK = 2 × 20 = 40, thus

9x + 13 = 40 ( subtract 13 from both sides )

9x = 27 ( divide both sides by 9 )

x = 3
