Knights were usually Christian, while Samurai followed Buddhism, Daoism, and Confucianism. One group of warriors were European, while the other was Japanese. Both wore different types of protective gear. Knights wore armor and Samurai were guarded by bamboo gear. These are multiple examples of differences.
