How and why did the Spanish, French, and English attempts at settlement differ?

Answer:

The Spanish were the first settlers on American land and they were mainly interested in occupying an area of land and then establishing themselves there they were so much interested in acquiring land.

The French were a little bit different in the sense that they came in form of fur traders, sent clerics and established colonies which were exploited for resources

The English also came to inhabit the lands. The quickly built churches and established themselves as missionaries.
