27 feet squared
Explanation:
Find the length (width = 9)
length = 1/3 width
length = 1/3 (9)
length = 1/3 * 9/1 = 9/3
Simplify 9/3 = 3
Length = 3 feet
Find area of rectangle
area = length * width
area = 3 * 9 = 27
area = 27 feet squared
