Length = 26ft

So, length = 3b-4

Perimeter of rectangle = 2x(length + width)

According to the question,

$72ft = 2X(3b-4 + b)\\72ft = 2X(4b-4)\\36ft = 4b-4\\40ft = 4b \\b = 10ft$
