The value of an asset is the importance an individual or an entity attached to an asset, it can be monetary or non-monetary. Individuals and corporate entities will want to protect their critical assets, examples of critical assets are assets which the survival of an entity depends, the decision regarding which asset to protect and the level of protection required depends on the critcality or otherwise of an asset.
