It’s simple to do one step equations

Let’s take x = -5 + 7 for example.
First, we need to remove -5. We can do this by adding 5 to -5 to make it zero. Since we added 5, we have to add 5 to seven. What ever you do on one side, you have to do to the other. 5 + 7 = 12. Now all that’s left on the equation is x = 12 and that would be your answer. Im not good at explaining things but I hope this helps you!

A one-step equation is an algebraic equation you can solve in only one step. You've solved the equation when you get the variable by itself, with no numbers in front of it, on one side of the equal sign.
