The correct answer is Muslim armies conquered Mecca after Medina was invaded

He must learn and repeat the teachings contained in the Qur'an, which will be revealed to him by God. Muhammad's preaching touches the poorest and displeases the ruling classes in Mecca, which forces him, in 622 B.C., to flee to Iatribe, which is now called Medina (city of the prophet). He becomes a religious, political and military chief after negotiating peace between the Arab tribes of Medina.

With their support, he manages to conquer Mecca shortly after.
