Help help!!

Lucy was watching her brother's team play baseball in the town playoffs. A man selling raffle tickets posed a challenging question to the crowd. He asked if anyone could figure out the area of the shaded half of the baseball field. Help Lucy figure out the answer by using the drawing below. please explain how you got your answer!

answer:

a=1/2×b×h

a=1/2x90×90

a=45×90

a=4,050 ft.

in simpler terms....

90×90=8100

this is the area of the ENTIRE FIELD so to find half divide by two 8100÷2=4,050.

4,050 ft.

Explanation:

Area is Base x Height right?

so, the base of the triangle would be 90 ft and the height would be 90 ft!

So 90 x 90 = 8,100 ft!!

This is how I think, so it may be wrong, but this is how I do it!
