In an experiment with pea plants, two purple flowered pea plants that are heterozygous for
the alleles for flower color are crossed. The results are offspring with purple flowers: 25;
offspring with white flowers: 15. A 3:1 ratio of purple to white flowered pea plants was
predicted. How would you interpret your results?

Answer:

Offspring with purple colour are either homozygous or heterozygous for purple colour while the offspring with white flowers are homozygous for the recessive white colour
