If heat was not distributed from the equator to the poles, then the environmental conditions would have been worse for supporting life. The regions near the equator would have accumulated more heat and made life impossible. The climate would be extremely hot for the survival of life here,

On the other hand, the poles would have been extremely cool to support any life. Hence, there would be an unequal climate and life would not be possible in extreme hot or cold climates.
