The Free exercise clause of the first amendment best described as it prevents the government from creating a nationally recognized religion.

Explanation:

According to the first clause of the constitution of the United States of America, in the constitution, the free exercise clauses allow an individual to practice his/ her religion without any restriction.

It also means that the state or the government shall not frame laws which aim at prohibiting the act of practising one’s religion. However this clause have been subjected to multiple interpretations. For example, even if some religions needed sacrifice, the state does not permit it.
