Advantage: The species resulting from exponential or logistic growth will grow and reproduce faster. In this way they will able to propagate in a faster manner.

Disadvantages: Exponential growth will allow the reproduction to occur at a much faster rate but after a certain time there will not be enough resources to feed all the wide number of organisms grown. As a result, the population will decline again.
