At 9:00 A.M., Bob started filling a 4,000-gallon pond. At 12:00 P.M., he had filled 2,400. At what time will the pond be full?

Answer:

2:00 P.M.

Explanation:

Divide 2,400 by the amount of time it has taken to fill it (3). You get 800. Now subtract 2,400 from 4,000. You get 1600. 800 x 2 = 1600

Therefore add 2 hours to 12:00 to get 2:00
