FALSE.

The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was a document signed in February 2nd, 1848 following the defeat of the Mexican Army. The document ended the Mexican-American war and protected the property of large Mexican owners in the state of California. It also guaranteed "male citizens" of the area "free enjoyment" of their liberty and property and "all the rights" of Americans.
