Explanation: The first step of making toilet paper is creating paper that is made from hemp pulp or virgin wood pulp that does not contain any trace of salvaged materials and has short fibers. The proportion of pulp's is carefully weighed so that the paper is solid when not soaked. Since water is a polar molecule, when paper gets in touch with it, it softens the fibers and breaks those cellulose bonds, tearing the paper into small bits. However, small bits can be completely dissolved only by adding acid.
