Think of this as a linear equation - y=mx+b so it would be y=2x+5 and y=3x. X Being equal to the number of days. From there it becomes a lot easier to visual the question. To make y equal the same all you would need to do is make x=5 and that’s your answer.

it will take 5 days. set up the system of equations, sarah’s equation is y=2x+5, and josh’s is y=3x, the solution is 5 days.
