Without his negative power, the shaman could not be a doctor, and that shaman who used his weapons only to attack enemies outside the community, had a good reputation and was considered the best servant of the community. Only when he turned against the members of his own group was he the object of hatred, distrust and, sometimes, even revenge.

The magic substance, which was the shaman's strength and that he used to care for and strengthen his clients, became a deadly weapon when he addressed an enemy.
