a data point on a graph or in a set of results that is very much bigger or smaller than the next nearest data point. On the graph the outlier will be a lot larger than the other data points or a lot smaller

Answer: An outlier is the piece(s) of data that are outside the majority. If you look at a graph, the outlier will be far away from a clump of data.
