Length of Given rectangle = b

Width of the given rectangle = a

Now we know that Rectangle J'K'L'M' is dilated with a scale factor of 'k' and the new rectangle is JKLM.

So Dilated Scale Factor of 'k' means the Length and width of the original rectangle is multiplied by 'k'

Length of Dilated rectangle = 'bk'

Width of the Dilated rectangle = 'ab'

Now Perimeter of Rectangle is given by 2 times the sum of length and width.

framing in equation form we get;

Perimeter of JKLM =
2(bk+ak)= 2k(a+b)

Area of Rectangle is given by length times width

Area of JKLM =
ak* bk = abk^2

Hence Area of JKLM is
