Different stream features are associated with each of these zones. Obviously, erosional features occur in the zone of erosion and depositional features occur in the zone of deposition. The zone of transportation usually contains both erosional and depositional features. Erosional features typically cut into the landscape and are often found in areas of steep gradient. In contrast, depositional features usually consist of piles of sediment that accumulate over time. Deposition is most effective close to the base level of a stream. Determine the zone where each of the depicted features occurs. Drag the appropriate items into their respective bins. Each item may be used only once.
