True. Extinction is a term
Used in applied behavior analysis when reinforcement of a behavior is discontinued to decrease the likelihood of this behavior increasing ( e.g.. a child displaying tantrum behavior because the want a caregiver’s attention is ignored.
At this time, ( while ignoring the tantrum) it would be important to teach a replacement behavior that the child could perform immediately in order to more appropriately access the caregiver’s attention.

Answer:

A.) True

Step-by-step explanation:

The answer is true because extinction would be them not paying attention to the child. Or they don’t care as much or anymore and it becomes extinct.

I hope it helps! Have a great day!
