The population would be 280,412

2.5% of 140212 is 3505 so you multiply the 3,505 by 40 and that’s ur answer. hope this helps

Answer:

First question: population will be 376,478

Second question: Sample = 155.91 grams

Explanation:

To solve these questions, we can use the formula of exponencial growth:

P = Po*(1+r)^t

Where P is the final value, Po is the inicial value, r is the rate of growth or decay and t is the amount of time.

So, for the first question, we have that Po = 140,212, r = 2.5% = 0.025 and t = 40, then we have that:

P = 140212*(1+0.025)^40 = 376,478.17

Rounding to nearest whole number, we have that the population will be 376,478.

For the second question, we have that Po = 500, r = -11% = -0.11 and t = 10, so:

P = 500*(1-0.11)^10 = 155.909 g

Rounding to two decimal places, we have that P = 155.91 g
