Muslim toleration of "People of the Book" includes Christians (e).
Muslims called Jews and Christians "People of the Book" in reference to their respective holy Scriptures (the Torah and the Bible/Gospels). Believing that Allah had manifested Himself to Jewish and Christian prophets such as Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, Muslims respected these groups more than the non-believers and allowed them to practice their teachings.
