Answer: 128.86cm²

Explanation:

The circle is inscribed in the rectangle. To find the shaded portion, subtract he area of the circle from the are of the rectangle.

Area of the rectangle = 11 x 12

= 132cm²

Area of the circle with radius of 1cm = πr²

= 3.142 x 1²

= 3.142cm²

Therefore , area of the shaded region = 132cm² - 3.142cm²

= 128.86cm²
