a triangle's side is divided by an angle bisector that bisects the opposite angle. Their relative lengths equals to the relative lengths of the other two sides of the triangle

x / 8 = 9 / 6

x = 9/6 * 8 = 12

(y-3) / 3 = 4 / 6

y - 3 = 4/6 * 3 = 2

y = 5
