Answer: 27k-20n

Step 1: Rewrite equation

3(9k-4) -4(5n-3)

Step 2: Distribute

When you distribute, you are multiplying the number on the outside (3) with the numbers on the inside (9k;4). Let’s start with the left side

3(9k-4) -4(5n-3)

27k-12 -4(5n-3)

Now let’s do the same thing on the right side

27k-12-20n+12

Step 3: Combine like terms

Like terms are numbers that share the same variable, or lack of. This would mean we have to add numbers that have the same variable next to it, and numbers without any variables. Let’s do that now.

27k-12-20n+12

27k-20n+0

27k-20n

This is as simplified as the equation can get. You cannot add these remaining numbers, as they have different variables.

Hope this helps comment below for more questions :)
